MEMORY
GAME
Nine tiles. One pattern. It gets one tile longer every time you get it right - and one wrong tile ends the run.
Sit tight - the board is showing you the order.
HOW IT WORKSÂ â—¢
- The board lights up a pattern. Watch it - you only get one showing.
- Tap the tiles back in the same order. Get them all and the level clears.
- Every new level adds one more tile. Miss one and the run is over.
WHY IT GETS HARD SO FASTÂ â—¢
This is a working-memory test wearing a game costume. Short-term memory holds only a handful of items at once, so most people stall somewhere in the middle levels - the pattern outgrows what you can rehearse in your head, and you start needing a trick: chunking the tiles into pairs, reading the board as a shape, or saying the positions to yourself. There is no timer and no score to protect, so the only thing being measured is how long you can hold the order.
