WHAT THE FLAG MEANSÂ â—˘
A field split by a black diagonal band edged in yellow, with a green triangle at the upper hoist and a blue triangle at the lower fly. The constitution has no flag provision. The green is conventionally read for the land and vegetation, the yellow for mineral wealth, the black for the people of Tanzania, and the blue for the lakes, rivers and the Indian Ocean.
