Yemen
Perched at the southern tip of the Arabian Peninsula, Yemen is home to Socotra, an island so isolated its dragon's blood trees grow nowhere else in the world.
WHAT THE FLAG MEANSÂ â—˘
Three equal horizontal bands of red, white and black, the Pan-Arab colours. Article 156 of the constitution gives the flag as three colours in that order from the top and says nothing else about it. They are conventionally read as red for the blood shed in struggle, white for a bright future and black for the dark days of the past.
