Paraguay

Paraguay is a landlocked heart-of-South-America country where nearly everyone speaks Guaraní alongside Spanish, and the mighty Paraná River does the heavy lifting for trade.

WHAT THE FLAG MEANS

A red, white and blue horizontal triband, unusual for carrying different emblems on each face: the national coat of arms with its yellow star on the front, and the Treasury seal - a lion, liberty cap and the motto 'Paz y Justicia' - on the reverse.
