Kosovo

One of the youngest countries in the world, Kosovo declared independence in 2008 and promptly filled its capital with a giant NEWBORN monument. It's a land of young people and mountain villages.

WHAT THE FLAG MEANS ◢

A blue field bearing a golden map of Kosovo below an arc of six white five-pointed stars. Article 6 of the constitution says the flag is a state symbol reflecting the country's multi-ethnic character and leaves its appearance to law, without tying the six stars to anything. They are conventionally read as the six major ethnic communities.
